Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CFD Engineer to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our Qingpu Plant team, you will be responsible for developing and validating FEA and CFD models for design concept development, design validation, and process troubleshooting.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and validate FEA and CFD models for design concept development, design validation, and process troubleshooting.
  • Deliver concise and accurate simulation results by generating technical reports and presenting results to internal and external customers.
  • Verify simulation results with testing and demonstrate agreement of simulation with actual measurement.
  • Implement process improvements and coordinate trainings of new methods to NPD teams.
  • Improve the utilization efficiency of existing FEA and CFD software, explore software in new applications, and test new software.
  • Work with Design Engineers to develop, deploy, and document new FEA and CFD processes and analytical techniques.
  • May perform other special projects or duties as required.

Who You Are:

You are a persistent and effective communicator who can accomplish objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, and you are able to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment as well as independently.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, or related field and equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant industry experience with 2 years of experience with CFD software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and 3D modeling design package.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment as well as independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills, initiative.
  • Good presentation skills in English.
  • Learn quickly, self-driven, positive working attitude.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Flow control industries background is preferred.
  • Familiar with design rules, codes, and industry standards for valves, pressure vessels, and mechanical components will be an added advantage.
  • Presentation skill is preferred.
