Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Operations Associate Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be responsible for managing and conducting induction/orientation programs for all new employees, ensuring their smooth assimilation into the company. You will also ensure that all staff CVs, training records, position profiles, and experience profiles are complete and up-to-date.

You will support allocation activities per the local resourcing process and collaborate with project leads/functional leads to optimize the operational running of projects. You will also deliver training on Working Practice Documents (WPDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), local requirements, and any other subjects that impact clinical operations.

You will participate in process improvement/development initiatives and ensure understanding and facilitation of the risk-based monitoring approach. You will also alert management to quality issues, request QA audits as appropriate, and support direct reports and project teams in providing audit responses as required.

You will manage and review systems (CTMS, Preclarus, Clarity) to evaluate employee and project metrics, KPIs, and general project status. You will evaluate the work of staff, including conducting PAVs (either remote or on-site) to thoroughly evaluate employee monitoring skills and project conduction when applicable.

You will manage staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching, and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. You will approve courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. You will review and approve time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Operations Associate Manager to join our team. You will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification. You will have previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years). You will have 1+ year of leadership responsibility.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. You will have a strong understanding of clinical operations and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
