Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technology Innovation Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg. As an integral part of our automation department, you will be responsible for leading activities in emerging automation technologies scouting and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge in automation and related fields by staying current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Identify and develop a network of industrial and research organizations in automation, establishing collaborations with strategic partners.
  • Work closely with internal automation and process experts in business groups to lead the running of the automation community.
  • Collaborate effectively with automation and data scientists, engineers, and other researchers across geographic locations.
  • Build up automation system prototypes with the integration of hardware, software, and programming for common business group applications if needed.
  • Communicate results through reports and presentations to diverse audiences (both technical and non-technical).

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent experience in industrial process automation, intelligent control, industrial robot, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in either industry or academia.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation and intelligent control, experienced in automation, machine vision, and robotics.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms, and data analysis techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence others, and work independently as part of a team.
  • Fluent oral English and excellent English writing skills are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Freudenberg offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
