Japanese Language Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Japanese Language Lecturer to join our team at Xi an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). As a Japanese Language Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching Japanese language modules to undergraduate students, as well as providing out-of-class language support activities.
Responsibilities and DutiesThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of different types of delivery, including:
- Compulsory credit-bearing Japanese language modules on the university's International Business with a Language BA degree programme
- Optional credit-bearing Japanese language modules available to undergraduate students
- Out-of-class Japanese language support activities
- Non-credit bearing summer course
We are also looking for a candidate who can take on a managerial role with responsibility for the coordination and leadership of the Japanese teaching programmes.
Qualifications and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant area, such as Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language, and at least two years of post-master's relevant teaching experience, preferably at university level. A good standard of written and spoken English is also required, as this is the working language of the university.
