Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Process and Technology Expert to join our team at Flex Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Jiading, Shanghai. This role will be responsible for providing technical support to R&D and production teams to facilitate design for manufacturing in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost-effective production processes for new product introductions.
  • Research and evaluate new processes for future power modules needs.
  • Define the Flex power modules process and technology roadmap.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop technically robust and effective solutions to design problems.
  • Manage design parameters and tradeoff priorities in close coordination with team members.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and identify equipment and material needs.
  • Ability to resolve, define, and design system and subsystem approaches to meet project and program design goals, requirements, and schedules.
  • Identify standard products and sub-blocks for inclusion into solution proposals.
  • Develop key relationships with internal design teams and subcontractors to plan comprehensive product strategies based on future technologies.
  • Strive for improvements and efficiencies in the Engineering area.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical development and trends in the field of expertise.
  • Be actively involved in new platform product designing phases to provide DFx-related technical proposals.
  • Drive and perform DFM activities to facilitate manufacturing in prototype and pre-series test runs.
  • Early involvement in new component designing and final verification.
  • Support engineering teams to perform professional root cause analysis.
  • Provide consultation from a technical point of view to high-level decision makers and other Flex organizations based on competence and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • University degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields.
  • Profound knowledge and skills on Dfx-related production and practice of Power Modules as per process, productivity, Industrial Engineering, or Lean Production.
  • Ability to play a leading role in a team, showing promising characters of leadership, creativeness, and persuading ability.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and well-organized with an analytical mind.
  • Good communication and project management skills.
  • Fluent English in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Preferred Experiences
  • Several years of working experience as a DFM engineer or Mechanical designer in electronics manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Flex power modules products and processes.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
