About Your Role

The Senior Compliance Engineer will play a critical role in the design, modification, improvement, and execution of Avery Dennison Smartrac's global social compliance internal audit program.

This role will be the primary execution agent of the Global Social Compliance program and will work closely with regional management teams and customers to drive continuous social compliance improvement, both within AD facilities and subcontractors.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Develop and implement the internal compliance audit program through training, development, and capacity building.
  • Review, analyze, and report compliance discrepancies for all facilities, and support the development of sustainable corrective actions for deviations.
  • Train and educate suppliers and factory management on Ethical Standards and Sustainability programs.
  • Perform as the regional SC lead to work with cross-functional teams on facility qualification processes, SC audits, and CAP follow-ups based on AD and/or customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and brands to deploy SC requirements to global facilities.
  • Develop and communicate SC metrics reports and data analysis to key stakeholders periodically.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.

Qualifications

What We Will Be Looking For In You

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in social compliance audits and excellent knowledge of China law/social audit requirements.
  • Experience in brands SC project management, supply chain, quality, environmental health and safety, or other SC-related systems is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in garment or trims manufacturing.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both oral and written English.
  • Strong team building and mentoring skills, with good leadership (preferred).
  • Independent worker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in tight schedules.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google, Lotus Notes.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Applicants with less working experience will be considered for the Compliance Engineer role.
