Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Legal to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal support to our business units, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and driving business growth through strategic legal advice.

Key Responsibilities:
- General Paralegal Duties:
• Prepare and file complex documents, tasks, and/or projects in specialized areas, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Compose related correspondence for attorneys independently, demonstrating excellent written communication skills.
• Review and analyze communications received from inventors and outside entities, applying knowledge of different jurisdictions to identify important requirements and deadlines.
• Conduct research and complex analysis of legal issues, providing informed recommendations to attorneys and business stakeholders.
• Secure necessary signature/authorizations and approved documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate with internal business clients and external vendors as needed, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Commercial (Contracts):
• Prepare, review, and negotiate complex business contracts, partnering with business units to drive growth and revenue.
• Review and approve complex contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Litigation:
• Assist attorneys in the conduct of litigation and internal discovery, providing expert legal support and guidance.
• Implement litigation holds, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Respond to subpoenas, demonstrating excellent communication and project management skills.
- Other incidental duties:
• Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, 5 years of related experience required or 9 years of related work experience required.
• Additional Skills: Professional certification preferred, proven expertise in MS Office Suite required, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal relationship skills including collaborative and relationship management skills.
• Substantial knowledge and understanding of Edwards Lifesciences policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to legal, as well as laws, rules, forms, and procedures.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion, strict attention to detail, and ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, work in a team environment, and interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters.
