Job Title: Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a key member of our power management applications group, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-density power modules for CPU core power applications.

Responsibilities:

* Design and develop new high-density power modules for CPU core power applications
* Bring up, debug, and road test new chips
* Create demo boards/modules for new business opportunities
* Perform schematic and PCB layout reviews for customer projects
* Write product datasheets, applications notes, user manuals, and other documents
* Participate in new chip/module definition and feasibility studies

Requirements:

* MSEE/BSEE with 5+ years of experience in power management applications
* Good understanding of power electronics topology, control theory, coupled inductors, and EMC
* Good lab test and measurement skills to characterize new products and circuit debugging
* Good knowledge of directing PCB layout of high-frequency DC-DC or power management ICs
* Proficient in design software such as Cadence, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix, MathCAD
* Some travel may be required to customer sites
