As a member of the Global Service team:
The Service team is composed of skilled and dynamic professionals.
Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:
- Implement the Customer Support Policy for OEM End Users. Oversee, maintain, and support company systems in the field.
- Assist OEM partners and End Users with internal service as outlined in warranty and service support agreements.
- Provide maintenance, support, and training for all users, including OEM and End User personnel. (Training will typically be conducted by a dedicated training engineer).
- Ensure accurate reporting of all customer support activities as directed by the Territory Service Manager/Customer Support Manager.
- Manage the company's parts inventory relevant to this position, maintaining stock levels in accordance with company policies.
- Support the integration of new equipment, including upgrades and additional features.
- Offer feedback to headquarters based on experiences with customers.
Qualifications for Success in this Role:
You will gain metrology knowledge and professional skills, with opportunities to take on leadership roles while managing customer sites.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the Semiconductor industry is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work shifts and provide overseas support as necessary.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Completed training or studies in chemistry or natural sciences.
- Strong computer skills and IT proficiency.
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Experience in clean room environments, ideally as a service technician in field service.
- Fluent business-level English communication skills.
- Enjoyment in working with demanding customers on-site.
- Ability to work independently with a strong service mentality.
- Eagerness to learn complex technologies.
- Flexibility and a high willingness to travel internationally (70-80%).
