Job Description
The Senior Investment Solutions Specialist will play a critical role in driving the development of new products and innovative finance solutions for the Bank. This position requires a highly skilled and motivated professional with expertise in investment operations, product development, and operationalization.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and advisory support to the Client Departments, ensuring that new products and technologies meet client needs, generate development impact, and align with AIIB's mandate. Key responsibilities include:
- Product Development and Management
- Identifying new product opportunities through market research and analysis, as well as collaborating with Client Departments to understand their needs.
- Developing comprehensive product development plans, including strategic assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and alignment with the Bank's objectives.
- Designing and implementing new or amended product proposals, in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Evaluating existing products to identify opportunities for enhancement, such as integrating new features that align with business objectives and the Bank's overall strategy.
- Operational Solutions Support
- Providing strategic, technical, and financial analysis to support Client Departments in developing new products, financing approaches, and client solutions.
- Collaborating with Product Team Leaders to structure and execute both new and existing products, including engaging with clients on product options and suitability.
- Facilitating workshops and training sessions for Client Departments on new products and innovative financing solutions to enhance their understanding and application.
- Private Capital Mobilization Implementation
- Analyzing and identifying private capital mobilization potential for each financial product and proposing strategies for achieving the Bank's private capital mobilization objectives.
- Working closely with Client Departments to identify private capital mobilization opportunities and recommend measures to enhance private capital mobilization at the project level and ensure effective implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment operations, product development, and operationalization, ideally with multilateral or bilateral development financial institutions.
- Proven track record in managing product development cycles and best practices, particularly in financial products and services offered by multilateral development banks and bilateral development financial institutions.
- Understanding of current trends in innovative financing instruments utilized by multilateral development banks and bilateral development financial institutions.
- In-depth product-specific knowledge of methodology, trends, and effective strategies for private capital mobilization.
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities to quickly assess and respond to diverse product development opportunities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a constructive team member in a multicultural environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and inclusivity.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of additional languages spoken by AIIB members is an advantage.
