We are looking for a skilled Perception Research Scientist to contribute to the development of cutting-edge autonomous driving technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing perception algorithms and models for real-world autonomous systems.



  • Research and Development: Conduct advanced research and development of software features that meet customer performance targets and build unique value
  • Machine Learning Model Development: Design, develop, and enhance machine learning models for perception tasks, including object detection, segmentation, localization, and sensor fusion
  • Algorithm Optimization: Implement and optimize perception algorithms to ensure high accuracy, real-time performance, and robustness under various environmental conditions
  • Sensor Integration: Work with data from multiple sensor modalities, including LiDAR, radar, camera, and GPS, to create reliable and fused perception models
  • Data Collection and Annotation: Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish data requirements and ensure efficient collection, annotation, and curation of datasets for perception model training and validation
  • Simulation and Testing: Design and run simulations and tests to evaluate and benchmark perception algorithms in real-world and simulated environments
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other business units or teams to ensure smooth integration of perception solutions into real products
  • Publication and Intellectual Property: Contribute to academic publications and patents, staying up-to-date on the latest research in autonomous driving and related fields

Required qualifications include a Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, with a strong focus on perception, machine learning, or computer vision. Experience in research and development in computer vision, machine learning, robotics, or autonomous systems, particularly in perception for autonomous vehicles, is also essential. Strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency in deep learning frameworks, and experience with perception algorithms and tools are highly desirable.
