R&D CSC Representation

Brief description of the position:

This position is responsible for representative of the division business interests of the relevant Technical Developments in the context of supplier selection, participating in sourcing committees,harmonizing supplier evaluations between the involved Technical Developments.

Key Tasks:

• Provide TE-ratings into the supplier selection process (lead by Purchasing division)
• Herewith represent the interests of the Technical Development department VCTC in accordance with the BMG-responsible Technical Development department(s) in VW Group
• Coordinate alignments between the supplier evaluations (TE-ratings) between the relevant Technical Development organizations involved - under consideration of both the R&D as well as the series manufacturing location
• Document continuously the respective TE-rating alignment status until nomination
• Ensure that supplier technical concepts are provided to the component/system responsible Technical Development engineer for evaluation
• Prioritize and plan TE-rating time lines in accordance to sourcing time schedules
• Participate in pre-alignment meetings, pre-CSC and main-CSC committees meetings
• Participate in evaluation of supplier technical concept and supplier introduction meetings
• Clarify all TE-rating and nomination pre-conditions with the responsible Technical Development organization
• Ensure that all nomination pre-conditions on behalf of Technical Development are aligned and considered in nomination process (e.g. business case includes second source release costs, vehicle software application/integration restrictions)

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor or Master of Science. Preferably Automotive Engineering or Supply Chain Management, or comparable
• Minimal 3 years job experience in automotive or comparable high tech industry
• Preferably relevant experience in Supplier Management and knowledge regarding Volkswagen sourcing process 
• Highly proactive working attitude
• Ability to quickly establish a professional network within related working environment
• High ability to "mentally" jump between multiple topics (multi task)
• Feeling at ease to communicate with higher management under business pressure
• Start up attitude with a strong willingness to support the build up of a new organization
• CET 6 or above, Good English or German listening, speaking and writing skills. German proficiency is preferred
