Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI is excited to offer this opportunity to join its Shanghai-based Real Assets Data Operations Team. This position is responsible for tracking commercial Real Estate market transactions. No prior Real Estate experience is necessary. The role will also suit a recent graduate who has an analytical mind and the ability to communicate in a clear and engaging fashion.

Our Real Assets business offers a structured training program for its proprietary methodologies and understanding of the Real Estate markets. You will also be part of a diverse team in a growing global company.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret complex, high-volume, and dimensional data for the Greater China real estate market from a variety of sources.
• Search for, validate, and enter data for Greater China markets into our proprietary database, ensuring ongoing accuracy and data integrity.
• Track and monitor various news sources and third-party data providers for commercial real estate transactions.
• Investigate and resolve missing data points or discrepancies for existing real estate transactions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and potential new third party data vendors.
• Stay informed of Greater China market trends, industry developments, and property sector dynamics.

• Bachelor's degree from a college or university.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience in data research, using various data collection and validation techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and multicultural environment.
• Fast learner with a logical, analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project scopes, timelines, and client needs.
• Self-motivated, proactive and demonstrating an exceptional drive towards delivery.
• Passionate about the real estate industry, particularly in the Greater China market.
• Skilled in leveraging AI tools to support research and streamline workflows.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
