Lloyd's List has an exciting opportunity for a Reporter, working in the editorial team that spans the world.

This is a full-time, permanent role and will report to the APAC Editor

Role Profile

  • The Reporter role in the Lloyd's List editorial team is tasked with creating daily content for Lloyd's List's and the wider Lloyd's List Intelligence business, where required
  • They will work closely with the APAC Editor and Deputy APAC Editor in creating and developing data-led analysis and unique insight to the high standards of Lloyd's List's editorial guidelines.
  • This role is based on a balanced working model between home and our office in Hong Kong or Shanghai

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce daily insight and analysis for the Lloyd's List website and other channels
  • Attend local and/or international news conferences, industry events, webinars, conference calls etc
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Experience in reporting on shipping matters or a related field such as finance or commodities
  • Interest in the shipping industry and how today's geopolitical landscape is reshaping global trade.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks daily and meet tight deadlines
  • High proficiency in written and verbal English
  • Strong knowledge of media law
  • Advanced communication skills to engage with both colleagues and industry C-suite executives
  • Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Desirable

  • Experience in maritime reporting
  • Experience with content management systems such as Sitecore
  • Digital editing and production skills including data visualisations, audio and video
  • An existing network of industry contacts.
