Job Overview
The Lab Technician is responsible for lab data test, analysis and judgment. This role will perform routine inspections, maintain accurate records, and contribute to process improvements. The Lab Technician works closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to EHS, and implement EHS policies, procedures and legislative requirement.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality and implement quality management system and its related requirements.
• Responsible for analyzing steel element.
• Microcosmic analy s e on sample after heat treatment and give a judgment.
• Judge and analysis for material and product.
• Quantitative analysis on relative data of heat treatment, bring forward advice about the method(s) of heat treatment.
• Maintain equipment of the lab, ensure them available.
• Perform "5S" duties well, maintaining a clean and orderly inspection work environment.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned .

Qualifications

• Education: Major in Metal material or heat treatment, college or above.
• Experience: At least 1 year experience of analyzing metal material (or in lab). Proficient in operating sample preparation equipment (sample cutting machine/wire cutting machine, mounting press, polishing machine) and capable of preparing metallographic specimens. Able to evaluate and analyze the original structure, grain size, segregation, and non-metallic inclusions of steel in accordance with relevant national technical standards. Capable of interpreting and identifying the metallographic structures of heat-treated steel. Skilled in using analytical and testing instruments, including metallographic microscope, hardness tester, and infrared carbon-sulfur analyzer etc.
• Certifications: measure certificate and experience in management of measurement preferred.

• Work Environment: Lab based; exposure to typical manufacturing conditions.
• Experience: Requires ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Lifting Requirements: Require lifting of items.
