- To manage and develop sales in China for H&P
- To implement SBU strategic objectives in China and provide input into their formulation
- To maintain and develop strong working relationships with all customers and major actual and potential customers
- To understand, analyse and report market intelligence for NBR in H&P
- To provide input to the deep dives of H&P in China
- To implement and improve commercial excellence for H&P in China MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow up company SHE principles, actively attend SHE monthly meeting & SHE day and achieve personal BBS/AIMS target. Keep high level of SHE self-awareness and Core Value recognition
- Manage and develop sales of NBR for H&P in China
- Undertake regular visits to customers, distributors and agents and circulate visit reports in 5 working days
- Negotiate selling prices, optimize gross margin and set payment terms, for supplied products in accordance with China Commercial Director and BU guidelines
- Provide input to annual sales budget, frequent sales forecast, opportunity pipelines and monthly review
- Develop strong working relationships with all major existing and target customers and implement key account management in align with key account management tools and commercial excellence
- Implement commercial excellence plan in selling, pricing, contracting, channel, marketing and customer satisfaction etc. to deliver best business practices to achieve profitable growth
- Spend minimum 50% of working time in the market
- Set up key sales targets and budgets with individual agents, distributors and customers, and track and review their performance regularly ensuring objectives and budgets are achieved or exceeded
- Provide input of deep dive and implement a strategy agreed for the profitable development of H&P product lines in all targeted applications
- Working with marketing manager, promote and strengthen the Synthomer brand and company image, manage customer seminars and participation in relevant trade shows
- Understand and analyse H&P industries and the market for suspending agent and NBR including through study of monthly import statistics, provide regular reports to China Commercial Director & team, and attend relevant industry conferences
- Develop an effective network in the Synthomer group relevant to the achievement of job objectives
- Manage costs within budget and company guidelines
- Negotiate supply agreements with major customers in accordance with SBU and local guidelines
- Closely watch out UGM and manage profitability of NBR for H&P to achieve annual budget
- Report all quality and service deficiencies and assist the relevant managers in SBU to implement corrective actions, enter all customer complaints into the database
- Investigate, analyse and report on the market for nitrile and competitive material, identify major trends impacting on the SBU's business, attend relevant industry conferences
- Comply with company policies, with particular regard to SHE, QM and Code of Conduct
- Other tasks deemed necessary and assigned by supervisor REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree or above
- Minimum 10 years in a B&B sales role in China, ideally related to chemicals and with experience of contract negotiation and price management
- Track record of profitable sales growth and margin management
- Experience of KA management
- International exposure, ideally gained from working in a foreign owned company,
- Strong interpersonal and presentation/communication skills, ability to work effectively at both strategic and tactical levels and with limited supervision, energetic, driven by results
- Ethical with understanding of multinational corporate context
- Financially and IT literate
