Technical Customer Service Engineer

Purpose of the job
In Ahlstrom - Lab & Life Science Business we are serving products used in a large variety of everyday applications and we are known and recognized for providing superior service, reliability and high-quality products for Laboratory, Diagnostics and Bioprocess applications. We are investing in the Lifescience business and are looking for a new Technical Customer Service Engeneer to join the team. Key responsibilities
As a Technical Customer Service Engineer, you will take part in key projects and missions. You will support to Product Management, the Sales and Operations Department and Regulatory Compliance within the manufacturing EMEA and APAC of Lab & Life Science Portfolio. The position is permanent and based in our locations in Shangai (China).
As a Technical Customer Engineer, you will support the development, execution and implementation of the production and transfer grade process. Focused on the APAC team, you will address all the scientific aspects, including Quality and Product specifications. Additionally, you will support to define the scientific and technical needs for the different Lab&LS products and assist our customers in validation and  testing and technical analysis of the Lab&LS cellulose, cotton, micro glass and quartz portfolio in different applications including Lateral Flow Immunoassay, Specimen Collection Cards and Bioprocess filtration processes. Your will support the Product Management and Sales team on their daily activities by improving our technical knowledge of the Laboratory and Lifescience market and promoting our Lab&LS portfolio as well as the Quality team in all the aspects related to our Lab&LS Business Unit, defining parameters and test methods to be used.

Needed experience & competencies

•    MSC degree in Biological/Engineering/Biotechnology field

•    Preferred background in the Lateral Flow or Specimen Collection Cards (DBS Cards) or Bioprocess filtration processes.

•    A structured and systematic approach with a keen sense of priorities.

•    Strong focus on execution, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and within assigned deadlines.

•    Solid understanding of numerical data.

•    Excellent problem-solving skills.

•    Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English.

•    Ability to convey findings with a technical approach, making them comprehensible and commercially relevant.

•    Agile learner with an adaptable and curious mindset.

•    Accountability and a team-player attitude.

•    Willingness to potentially travel and possess a valid driver's license.

•    Proficiency in corporate productivity and web presentation tools.

•    Proficient in MS Office software; experience with Salesforce is a plus.

•    High proficiency in verbal and written English and Chinese; knowledge of French, Swedish, Spanish, German, and Italian is a valuable addition.
