Your role:

  • Develop and implement the Risk and Compliance governance structure for the insurance businesses;
  • Coordinate with the 1st line Compliance and the Group Legal to enable the insurance businesses are operating in a strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policy guidelines;
  • Provide regulatory compliance advice and insight to support effective controls on the daily operation of insurance businesses;
  • Work with other functional teams to ensure the implementation of risk and compliance controls measures fit-for-purpose;
  • Monitor the current insurance regulatory landscape and devise action plans corresponding to changes of regulatory requirements;
  • Conduct periodic review of Group policies in order to cope with the latest development of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards;
  • Organize training and/ or briefing sessions with insurance businesses to promote their awareness of the Group policy requirements;
  • Assist the 1st line Compliance on the preparation of regular or ad-hoc compliance reporting to the management, and relevant regulator(s), authority(-ies) and insurance principal(s) as appropriate;
  • Support the review and evaluation of commercial deals and relevant materials of the insurance businesses; and
  • Provide regulatory compliance advice, and risk management oversight in connection with major new business and product initiatives.

To succeed in this role:

  • University degree with minimum 5-7 years experience of regulatory compliance in insurance industry;
  • Sound knowledge with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines e.g. IA, MPFA, etc.;
  • Proficient communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;
  • Solid experience in engagement with regulators;
  • Knowledge of life insurance and general insurance products is essential;
  • Prior experience in Risk Management would be a definite advantage;
  • Self-motivated and independent team player with strong problem-solving skills; and
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
