Senior Application Development Engineer

Job Title:Senior Application Development EngineerSummary:The Application Development Engineer (ADE) will responsible for the development of new compounding formulations demonstrating the performance benefits of Momentive's product portfolio based on a strong understanding of the Silicone Elastomer and end use applications.

The candidate will work closely together with sales and marketing partners to provide technical suggestions and/or lab testing verifications; and support marketing activities such as shows and seminars.Responsibilities Include:

Laboratory work and Formulations development

• Development of new formulations demonstrating the performance benefits of Momentive's product portfolio based on a strong understanding of the Healthcare customer needs and end use applications
• Understanding of competitive technologies, ability to identify alternatives to existing competitive grades
• Independently plan and execute laboratory work in support of customer requests, new product launches, quality complaints and assessment of competitive materials as assigned
• Create the instructions/guidelines with the response on main customers' technical questions and issues
• Maintain and promote a safe laboratory environment in accordance with applicable quality standards

NPIs/NPCs work / Regional

• Support of new introductions of global NPI/NPCs and the creation of technical literature.
• Supply creative input into the design of new products that provide added value in the market. This should include the definition of clear technical targets and Value Proposition.

Support to Marketing, Sales, and Technology / Regional

• Work closely with marketing, sales, technology and other teams to identify new business opportunities to drive growth for the business.
• Active participation in the calls and meetings, providing valuable feedbacks on Momentive colleagues requests
• Share the information regarding local markets update, customers' success stories, new benefits and performance of Momentive or competitive products.
• Provide support to the ADE team members searching for the information to respond customers' issues

Customers Support

• Provide customer support related to the use of new and existing products.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

Minimum Qualifications:

·    Technical Degree or commensurate technical work experience

·    Minimum 5+ years' experience in the Silicone Rubber in Application Development, and/or Product Development and/or Technical Service role.

·    Have the ability to independently perform or coordinate any required analytical testing, interpret results and draw conclusions for review with scientists and engineers     

·    Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

·    Problem solving skills

·    Willingness to travel

·    Fluent in English communication (writing, reading, listening

·    Diligent, agile and about to quickly respond to the customer request.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluent in English communication (verbal).
• Experience in silicone elastomers industry, from downstream would be preferred including molders or end-user.
• Able to effectively communicate results clearly and precisely and document conclusions and recommendations including authorship of formal reports
• Understand simple product formulation and production process would be value-added.
• MNC experience would be a plus.
