In this role, you will be responsible for assessing both medical and non-medical insurance cases, ensuring all decisions comply with internal underwriting guidelines and risk policies. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior underwriters and acting as a service liaison for distribution channels.

What the role is?

  • Perform underwriting assessments for both medical and non-medical cases within designated approval limits, ensuring compliance with company underwriting rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure underwriting decisions are made within team turnaround time (TAT) to maintain service standards.
  • Support and train junior underwriters, sharing knowledge and best practices to build team competency.
  • Serve as a service manager for various sales and distribution channels, providing professional underwriting support and guidance.

What we look for ?

  • 5–8 years of underwriting experience in the life insurance industry, candidate with much relevant experence will be considered as Assistant Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, compliance requirements, and underwriting principles.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
