We are currently looking for a Regional Process / Application Specialist for Process Group Paper Machine Service APAC at the ANDRITZ China Ltd, Foshan

Purpose of position:

Our target is to grow our market share in Paper Machine Service for machine optimizations through the supply of new products, rebuilds, parts, on-site and off-site services. As a Regional Process Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying process improvements on our customers Paper Machines. This identification will be possible via machine / section audits, data analysis and a deep understanding of best-in-class machine performance. The primary target will be to support the supply of products-rebuilds-upgrades that we are able to offer in all sections of the paper machine to meet the individual business objectives of our customers and our own profitability ambitions. A secondary target will be to support the long-term service delivery proposals for our supplied solutions.

Cooperation with ANDRITZ colleagues providing complementary support for product management, technology, engineering, product management and procurement will be a key success factor.

You will be part of a team implementing our Paper Machine Service strategy in particular the development and performance of our products-rebuilds-upgrades business area throughout the entire lifecycle. 

You will make a significant contribution to the regional business growth of the product portfolio in terms of development, sales, profitability and competitiveness. You recognize and fulfil the true needs of our customers, and you will be able to make our products stand out from the competition. You will always focus on achieving preferred supplier status and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.

In this position you will functionally report to the Global Process Group Manager and in matrix to the Regional Business Leader for Paper Machine Service.

Key goals & operational responsibilities

  • Contribute to the implementation of our Paper Machine Service Strategy
  • Lead paid / unpaid machine or section audits to gain performance understanding
  • Define feasible technical solutions to target performance improvements with a special focus on a differentiation approach
  • Calculate the value contribution of our solution and focus on convincing our customer on the importance of improving
  • Always consider the value proposition of our solutions
  • Present findings and technical proposals to customers
  • Analyze the demand for paper machine products and services
  • Analyze competitor strengths & weaknesses
  • Analyze and identify the critical factors influencing the implementation of our strategy
  • Analyze and identify our product differentiation criteria
  • Identify our combined ANDRITZ potential across our Pulp & Paper business areas
  • Support sales strategies with a focus on a differentiation approach
  • Guide and support our R&D efforts to achieve a preferred supplier position by identifying trends and technologies in the market

Profile

  • Completed university degree in paper-making, engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of proven experience in the paper industry working on machine optimizations / rebuilds.
  • Strong strategic thinking, entrepreneurial action, and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as intercultural competence.
  • Enhanced customer focus to develop our business.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing growth strategies within a service-driven business.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; other foreign languages are an advantage.
