Role Definition:
Critical Position role as Hydraulics MP & PP manager to lead the entire MP & PP team for production planning and material planning to ensure CSP and AoS. Manages schedulers, schedules, coordinates, and controls the production schedules. Reviews and manages the production process efficiency and quality. Manages material planners, activities related to maintaining proper levels of stock or inventory and ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely and cost-conscious manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the facility production and inventory plans; analyzing and troubleshooting planned production scheduling problems; recommending process improvements to optimize the scheduling process.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve product-related issues and incorporate customer and business requirements.
  • Directs complex production schedules; reviewing workflow of production workers, inventory levels, capacity constraints, machine breakdowns, product quality, etc. to ensure operational excellence.
  • Participates in planning inventory and defining optimal inventory levels and adjustment authority and monitoring inventory level.
  • Leads efforts to develop and refine a robust production planning and material planning system, software, which, through digital techniques, identifies manpower, process or bottlenecks and provides alternative company-wide solutions that optimize utilization of resources. 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively more complex supply chain experience.
  • Good supply chain management capabilities.
  • Good English communication skills and data analysis abilities.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification, oversea study background or work experience is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in digital and intelligent supply chain, warehousing and logistics automation projects is preferred.
  • Advanced Hydraulics product knowledge is a plus.

Skill Descriptors:
Production and Material Planning: Tactical and Strategic: knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Level Extensive Experience:


• Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.


• Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.

• Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.

Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles


• Efficient personnel management, helps others learn the tools and techniques for process value analysis.

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of a major process flow, its components and issues, and conduct effective assessment, diagnosis and optimization.

• Makes the business case for new processes, including their cost-benefit ratios.

• Possesses knowledge of tools and techniques for designing and implementing new processes.
 

Production Scheduling and Control: Knowledge of procedures and tools for scheduling and controlling production runs; ability to utilize knowledge of daily manufacturing processes to assure quality deliverables.
Level Extensive Experience:

• Manages the job cycle to ensure completion of jobs according to agreed-upon schedules.

• Communicates with customers and sales staff on scheduled and unscheduled production work.

• Resolves critical or costly workflow problem areas and recommends improvements.

• Schedules and oversees all production runs for a specific plant or assembly line.

• Produces master schedules for overall plant activities; shows all dependencies and contingencies.

• Oversees production acceptance testing and associated performance measures.

Inventory Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.

Level Extensive Experience:


• Coordinates daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network.


• Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve the processes.


• Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.


• Provides guidance on inventory management for a specific product group or location.


• Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.


• Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problem.

Standard Operating Procedures(SOP): Knowledge of established standard operating procedures effectively use various systems and software for operations and analysis to increase operational efficiency.
Level Extensive Experience:

• Designs a standard operating procedure, detailing steps and activities, within a department; develops procedures, processes, and controls to implement and execute policy requirements.

• Optimizes complex SOPs according to changes in organizational procedures.

• Skillfully use ERP system


• Use Excel and Power Apps for effective assessment, data analysis.

Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
Level Extensive Experience:

• Monitors total plant production scheduling vis-a-vis orders.

• Evaluates considerations for synchronizing demand for products with production capabilities.

• Participates in sequencing work to meet targeted delivery dates for multiple and critical orders.

• Participates in setting parameters for reorders, min/max levels, lead days and job days.

• Coordinates capacity and materials planning for net demand within a planning period.

• Adjusts plans based on sales forecasts, custom orders and demand-driven orders.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Additional information

The position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
