Job Description
Sales & Profit Protect

  • To take fully accountability of the Retail P&L to take initiative to stimulate growths and continuously improve store operations, to establish and deliver operations capital and revenue strategies so as to maximize return on investment.
  • To liaise with senior management and functional expertise of Global or Regional team, to market the brand to continuously improve brand equity and market share, to contribute to identify and deliver differentiation the customers offer based on a full understanding of the consumer and brand market place.
  • To develop business plan strategy with the General Manager.
  • To develop process and drive the improvement of poor/under performance of sales or profit protect in all field, by pulling resources from both internally and externally.
  • To improve and coach Area Manager as well as Store Manager maximizes sales and profits.
  • Drive sales and growth through constant and consistent KPI management

Store Operations

  • To ensure that Store Operations Standard is established and implemented, and continuous improvement store operations policies and process including the Store IT System is in place.
  • To reduce cost and improve working capital whilst improving levels on shelf by working closely with Logistics and Merchandising.
  • To direct process and reports to improve Area Manager and Store Manager's stock management skills.
  • To embrace technology by working closely with local and global team to enhance working efficiency.
  • Training team is utilized and gives Deckers a competitive advantage for retail, retail partner and online team

Establish High-level Consumer Experience

  • To inspire excellence and passion for consumer services in China, to set standards exceed the expectations, to empower the team drive customer loyalty.
  • To work with project team to ensure store image presentation/store design & VM to deliver a premium sports & lifestyle persona.
  • To set standard and measures to drive continuous improvements.
  • Close the gap between our consumers and our brands. Lead by example in providing consumer excellence at all times
  • Ensure a consumer centric culture, where the primary driver is the consumer experience.
  • To present the brand in line with the global standards and position as an expert of sports

The Successful Applicant
Education & Experience:

  • An international university degree holder in business/retail with an MBA preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of Retail management experience, strategic international multi-site retail management and Brand sales expertise ideally in fashion or sports footwear & apparel, with affinity for luxury lifestyle or premium sports brands, with capacity to manage retail chain stores at similar size with store count as 50 or above (brand stores focus, outlet stores are nice to have), and wide geography coverage minimum with 5 cities.

  • A commercial thought that is able to be a visionary, think strategically, and execute against plan
  • Proven expertise in retail sales analytics with metrics in place to drive sales
  • A people with a focus on talent management and development
  • A team player with a partnership approach and excellent proactive communication skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex multi-brands global organizations and environments.
  • High level of comfort and ability to work with and lead teams and effectively drive strategic initiatives and results across regions, businesses and functions.
  • Knowledgeable in current & future business and retail trends and technology with the ability to guide & direct people and business
  • Outstanding business acumen. Can translate strategy into action.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels of the organization.
  • A team player and highly motivated executive who creates an atmosphere in which people work together effectively to produce superior results.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team working skills with proven ability to coach and build high performing teams
  • Results driven. Ability to set and meet deadlines
