About The Business
Deloitte China Tax and Business Advisory is the only Big Four practice that works As One across Greater China Region including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with more than 2,300 experienced tax advisors to offer holistic one-stop-shop services and assist clients, stakeholders and regulators to harvest mutual trust and sustainable growth. Our Business Tax practice delivers comprehensive and innovative tax services to clients using a collaborative and practical approach. We help businesses meet their tax and statutory responsibilities while identifying planning opportunities and mitigating unwarranted risks. We also utilize technology to help manage the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax operations and turn compliance data into insights that deliver real business value and strategic advantage to client organizations.

Work you'll do

• Applies relevant and appropriate technical knowledge during the Business Tax project lifecycle, including during client conversations and advisory deliverables
• Guides and advises team in applying service line-specific standard methodologies, policies, procedures, and tools
• Enables fact-based decision making by using appropriate research techniques and analytical skills
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge in using technologies to achieve efficiencies and enhance deliverables
• Helps clients mitigate risk, meet compliance obligations and statutory deadlines, and realize business goals
• Advises on a wide range of business tax matters from compliance to planning. Understands and explains the implications of expansion, acquisition, divestment, and reorganization in local and international contexts Tax
• Reviews income tax provisions in accordance with the applicable tax accounting standards, and confirms all related/supporting tax provision calculations and analyses Applies practical technical knowledge when supervising team members in drafting responses to tax authorities and when helping clients understand the audit lifecycle process
• Assists clients in the resolution of tax disputes

We are looking for someone with

• Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related disciplines
• Professional accounting qualification or registered tax agent or lawyer is required
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience with CPA firms (Big 4 experience is preferred), law firms, tax authorities or large corporation
• In-depth understanding of tax policies, rules and regulations
• Strong analytical and highly commitment to quality client service
• Strong consultation skills, communication skills, self-initiation, teamwork spirit and willingness to work under pressure
• Be mature, proactive, committed, motivated with strong sense of teamwork
• Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership and business development skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, documentation and presentation skills
• Willing to travel
