Key Tasks:

  • Lead failure analysis from TE side locally 
  • Enhance transformation of partner's processes to fulfill VW (automotive) standards in terms of supplier qualification process  (e.g. process standards, PEP)
  • Perform failure analysis together with related stakeholders, collecting valid proof and evidences
  • Prepare, report, escalate and document failure analysis report
  • Define counter measures for failures together with related stakeholder and support on decision making in case needed on FACA
  • Be interface among the corresponding departments/ developing stakeholders  on Faliure analysis
  • Visit battery material/component supplier for failure analysis purpose in case needed
  • Lessons learn sharing through Powerco and VW

Qualification and skills required for the position:

  • MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Elecrtrochemistry or evidence of experience and exceptional ability,  Ph.D is a plus. 
  • 5+ years' experience in industry of battery cell and at least 3 years' on FACA
  • knowledge in battery cell realated development and production processes
  • experience in automotive industry 
  • Open and willingness to take high pressure
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skill to achieve WIN-WIN solutions with many stakeholders
  • Coordination skills and assertion skills
  • Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shop floor to top
  • Self-motivated with the willingness to learn
  • Abstraction skills
  • Fluent in English, German and Chinese is a plus.
