Greater China Commercial Unit Finance Leader

As Greater China Commercial Unit Finance Leader, you will be a strategic collaborator with the Commercial Unit (CU) Leadership, providing critical thinking on CU/country strategic direction, operating performance and financial results. Working closely with and taking business guidance from the CU Managing Director. Reporting to the APAC Commercial Finance Director

Your Challenge:

•       Responsible for planning, forecasting and analysis in the Commercial Unit for revenue through to contribution/ EBITDA and select balance sheet and working capital accounts/metrics for all countries within the CU.

•       Driving business results and resource optimization in the commercial unit across the Seed and Crop Protection Business Units.

•       Enhancing business quality and financial health focusing on trade-offs between earnings & cash, ROI of investment, and spend productivity.

•       Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the CU/Country finance function

•       Manage and lead the CU finance support; acquire/develop talent for commercial finance with input for other relevant competencies/subfunctions.

•       Overarching, fundamental responsibility for control and compliance in the CU.

•       Acting as liaison between the Business and all other Finance competences.

•       Building and maintaining strategic relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders; advancing cross-functional operational discipline to ensure alignment of priorities and key goals across the organization.

•       Ensuring connectivity with leading industry and finance associations and external partners as necessary.

•       Helping drive the Operating Model through the IBP process on the SAP S/4 HANA platform for the CU including responsibility for developing financial forecast/metrics for the monthly Demand Review (DR), Integrated Reconciliation (IR) and submission of QMR (Quarterly Management Review - Investor Relations) package.

•       Optimizing the use of our SAP Central Finance (on SAP) platform and participating and supporting the implementation of the SAP S4 HANA ERP system.

•       Supporting and executing the Global Finance Strategy including innovation, talent development, financial acumen training and advancing transformational initiatives such as Finance Fast Forward (FFF)

This role will be based out of Shanghai

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:

• years' experience with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position with people responsibilities

•       Experience in an MNC Agriculture/Pharma, Technology or FMCG industries will be an advantage.

•       Accounting/Finance Degree with a professional qualification in accounting / analysis or MBA Finance. Deep understanding of Share Holder Value creation and elements of ROIC

•       Expert in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have worked in an ERP environment – e.g. SAP, Oracle

•       Must be capable and willing to work in an unstructured environment typically associated with start-ups / new companies.
