THE ROLE: 

The right engineer will drive the success of power IP (Intellectual Property) and features in AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) products through leadership & coordination, resolution of technical dependencies, and achievement of schedule commits. This is a high-visibility and widely multi-functional role, spanning pre-silicon architecture to post-silicon implementation & product delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work as G&E SW team member to deploy/enable/optimize AI solutions on ROCm stack on GFX SW stack on latest Radeon GPU.

  • Build up engineering AI solutions to improve AI models inference/training performance on GPU, strong experience on profiling for server cluster and algorithm research.

  • Create and optimize stable, reusable HIP/CUDA code.

  • Optimize the AMD ROCm math libraries from compiler, ISA level.

  • Cross communicates with other sites engineering teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science/analytics, machine learning, computer graphics, computer vision, statistics, and mathematics or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, CUDA/HIP with real project experience.

  • Deep learning/AI frameworks (like vLLM, SGLang, Llamacpp), machine learning algorithms (like Transformer, DiT, VAE), kernel programming (like ROCm/CUDA/Triton), and LLM/SD GPU deployments

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
