2026 ZIM Management Trainee 

Our Management Trainee (MT) Programme offers a fast-track career path to groom fresh talents into future leaders in the shipping industry.  

As a Management Trainee, you will be participating in a 18-month comprehensive training curriculum programme. The programme will allow you to gain an in-depth insight into the shipping industry.

We are looking for ambitious, talented individuals with a proven passion for the shipping industry to join our MT program. Are you ready to embark on this journey? 

What's in it for you?

Over the course of 18 months, you will:

  • Rotate through the different functions so that you can have a deep understanding of the shipping business which will lay a solid foundation for your long-term success
  • Boost your personal development with soft-skills training, special projects, mentoring and coaching
  • Have an experienced business leader assigned as your mentor to providing guidance and constructive feedback on your career development
  • Be introduced to core business process such as strategy, business planning and product development
Requirements

What we look for…

  • Bachelor's degree or above with a good GPA, preferably in Supply Chain and Logistics/Business Management/Finance/Data Science 
  • Fresh and recent graduates with less than 2 years of full-time working experience 
  • Good numerical and analytical skills, with a genuine interest in shipping industry 
  • With strong business sense
  • Self-confidence and independent
  • With proactive and positive mindset 
  • Agile and strong learning agility  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form strong working relationships  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

Selection Process 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment centre. These will include a competency-based interview, presentation, written exercise and observed group exercise.
