OVERVIEW: The Director of Industrial Design, Shenzhen will lead SharkNinja's design capability in China, driving product design excellence across multiple categories. This role is responsible for ensuring that every product developed in China reflects world-class design, premium brand values, and global consumer appeal. You will create the end-to-end product experience for Shark and Ninja - from aesthetics, usability to functionality, brand storytelling and execution craftsmanship. The role requires balancing bold, differentiated design vision with close collaboration across Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing partners and global design team. As both a strategic leader and hands-on practitioner, you will push the boundaries of design paradigms while building and guiding a talented team and operating seamlessly between high-level vision and tactical execution. This leader will elevate SharkNinja's design culture in China and deliver disruptive, premium, consumer-obsessed products to markets worldwide. Responsibilities:

Leadership & Vision

• Drive and own end-to-end industrial design and development for Shark and Ninja, shaping aesthetics, consumer experience, storytelling, and execution.
• Lead and inspire the design team, fostering creativity, accountability, and innovation.
• Define and evolve design guidelines and processes that elevate the brands while ensuring precision and craftsmanship.
• Mentor and guide team members, raising the bar for growth, performance, and design excellence.

Design R&D & Innovation

• Translate consumer insights and global design trends into differentiated, premium product experiences and memorable design.
• Research emerging technologies, materials, and design paradigms to drive forward-looking innovation and competitive advantage.

Collaboration & Partnerships

• Work closely with the Global Design team to align vision, language systems, consumer experience and product execution across regions.
• Partner with Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing to elevate design intent into high-quality execution and deliver the best consumer experience from concept through production.
• Build strong vendor and supplier relationships to ensure design quality, precision, and craftsmanship at scale.

Execution & Craftsmanship

• Drive excellence in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), ensuring seamless transition from design to production.
• Set high standards of detail and precision to deliver best-in-class craftsmanship and finish quality.
• Rapidly experiment, iterate, and validate concepts with cross-functional partners.
• Guarantee all product development details meet SharkNinja's premium quality and consumer-first standards. Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; Strong English communication required (verbal & written), Mandarin proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent; MBA or mater degree preferred.
• 10+ years of industrial design experience with a proven track record of successful consumer product launches.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing and developing design teams in fast-paced, global environments.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, KeyShot, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related design tools.
• Deep understanding of the consumer product industry, competitive landscape, and global markets.
• Experience building and developing design guidelines, tool and process systems to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Strong expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) with a proven ability to deliver best-in-class craftsmanship.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining vendor and supplier partnerships to achieve design execution quality at scale.
• Ability to meet deadlines and react swiftly to new information while lead with creativity, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
• Strong portfolio showcasing original, innovative, consumer-obsessed design work and the full product development process.
