Opening in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing brings our renowned curriculum to the capital of China. The school will open with grades Kindergarten through 9 and grow to become a Pre-K through Grade 12 school with a capacity of 2,300 students, and boarding facilities for 800 students.

BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is located on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing. As one of Beijing's key new urban developments, Shunyi is a hub for international education and an attractive location for foreign teachers. The area is surrounded by multiple high-level residential and expat communities, creating a rich cross-cultural atmosphere. 

In a BASIS International Kindergarten teaching position, you will create a learning environment where learning is a joyful and rewarding experience, and children learn to become enthusiastic, life-long learners. The thematic, hands-on, and content rich curriculum creates a foundation for children to build upon in the elementary grades. Our early education teachers are guided by the belief that any child can excel with the right support.

The early childhood classroom is carefully designed to encourage a child's natural curiosity to create, discover, and ask questions. Our Early Childhood teachers adopt a collaborative, co-teaching approach to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) and Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) partner to introduce ideas and ensure every student receives deep subject knowledge, personalized support, and appropriate engagement. 

As an Early Childhood Subject Expert Teacher, you help cultivate a joyful, rigorous learning environment rich in child-initiated play that inspires students to become enthusiastic, life-long learners. You implement a theme-based, hands-on curriculum that lays a strong foundation for children to build upon throughout their elementary years. 

You will also: 

• Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory 
• Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect 
• Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field

Who We're Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
• Collaboration: A team player eager to share and learn from colleagues worldwide.
