Lead Engineer, Platform Integration

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Engineer of Platform Integration for designing, implementing, and maintaining a unified digital ecosystem that serves as the foundation for enterprise-wide system integration . This role focuses on creating a centralized platform that enables seamless connectivity and data exchange between all applications, breaking down data silos across the organization —while driving innovation through the exploration and adoption of new technologies, including AI, to deliver tangible business value.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and supervise an engineering team across CRM, sales, payment gateway, data warehousing, and operational system workstreams.
• Own end-to-end delivery of robust, scalable data and system integration solutions—from architecture and development to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product, operations, data and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical plans aligned with business goals and SLAs.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies (including AI/ML) for feasibility and security; develop clear recommendations for adoption.
• Lead and contribute hands-on to Proofs of Concept (PoCs), guiding the team through architecture, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Drive implementation of new solutions and continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and system reliability.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, standards, and mentorship to foster team growth and best practices.
• Ensure the quality, performance, observability, and security of integrated systems, including incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Establish and maintain integration patterns, data models, and interface contracts; promote reusability and consistency.
• Stay current with advancements in data engineering, integration platforms, and emerging tech; facilitate internal knowledge sharing and training.

Skills and Experience that will lead to success:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role, leading small to mid-sized engineering teams.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and architectures.
• Strong understanding of API design, development, and management.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, middleware and messaging systems.
• Proficiency in key programming languages (e.g. Python, Java) with hands-on development experience and knowledge of integration technologies (e.g. microservices, serverless).
• Practical understanding of optimization and reliability engineering for complex systems, including performance tuning and cost efficiency.
• Data architecture and modeling expertise; Ability to conduct data analysis and preprocessing to support integrations and downstream use cases.
• Creative problem-solver who can drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience with Salesforce, AI and Cloud Platforms is a strong advantage.

Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
