Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Account Executive to join our dynamic reinsurance broking team in Beijing. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for a candidate eager to build a career in the specialist field of reinsurance. Your core work will focus on daily reinsurance accounting processing and contract document handling, while you will also assist senior managers in arranging the placement of treaty and facultative reinsurance business. Key Tasks, Duties and Measurements

  • Daily Reinsurance Accounting Processing

Take full responsibility for the core accounting work of reinsurance business, focusing on the accurate entry and verification of quarterly reinsurance statements (covering both facultative and treaty businesses). Assist the finance team in completing the application, issuance, and filing of value-added tax invoices related to reinsurance businesses, and follow up on the settlement of accounts receivable and payable. Timely coordinate and resolve various accounting problems arising in the reinsurance business process to ensure the smooth running of the entire accounting workflow.

  • Broking Support: Assist senior brokers in the preparation, submission, and negotiation of reinsurance placements for both treaty and facultative business.
  • Account Management: Help maintain and develop relationships with both cedant (insurance company) clients and reinsurance markets. Prepare meeting materials, presentations, and follow-up reports.
  • Data & Document Preparation: Collect, analyze, and present underwriting data, loss experience, and market information. Prepare underwriting submissions, quotations, and reinsurance slips with high accuracy.
  • Administration & Process: Ensure timely and accurate processing of premium and loss bookings, contract documentation, and internal system updates. Manage records and correspondence for assigned accounts.
  • Client Service: Respond to day-to-day client inquiries and provide professional, efficient administrative support to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to all internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and compliance guidelines relevant to the reinsurance industry in China.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Insurance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry. Prior internship or exposure to insurance/reinsurance is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are highly valued).
  • Fluent in Mandarin. Professional working proficiency in English is essential (both written and spoken), as it is required for internal communication and reviewing international documents. Cet-6 or IELTS 6.5 or above.
  • Progress towards or willingness to pursue professional qualifications (e.g., ANZIIF, ACII, CPCU) is viewed favorably.
