As a R&D Director (M/W) For Our New Site In Beijing,you Will Report Directly To The General Manager And Manage All The R&D Processes And Teams Of The Manufacturing Site. Your Main Tasks

Product Development & Innovation

  • Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of product development processes, technical standards, and the formula documentation management system.
  • Lead and participate in formulation research, process design, technical problem-solving on key products, and technical analysis in the event of quality issues or customer complaints.
  • Oversee the full technical development cycle, from laboratory work to pilot trials and scale-up to industrial production.
  • Ensure the standardization and validation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and formulas to guarantee production consistency.
  • Ensure that all products developed comply with Chinese food regulations, internal quality standards, and SC (Food Production License) requirements.
  • Monitor global trends in ingredients and technologies, as well as market needs, customer expectations, and competitive dynamics to maintain a high level of innovation.
  • Provide technical support to the sales teams by regularly presenting R&D plans and product directions, and by leading the creation of new product concepts, trials, and definition of key selling points.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to evaluate strategic raw materials, and contribute to supplier technical reviews and cost/market strategies.
  • Optimize formulas and processes to improve industrial efficiency and reduce costs.

R&D Team Management & Organization

  • Manage the daily operations of the R&D team, including work allocation, performance evaluation, and capability development.
  • Structure, develop, and lead the R&D team in China; define roles and responsibilities within the department.

Profil De Candidat Recherché
You hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science or a related field, and you have at least five years of R&D experience in the baking industry, including a minimum of two years in a team management role. You have a proven ability to lead complete new product development projects, from early R&D through to successful mass production. You bring strong expertise in bakery science and technology, along with a solid understanding of food chemistry and relevant food laws and regulations. You demonstrate excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills, and you are able to drive effective cross-departmental collaboration. You also possess sharp market insight and a strong level of business acumen.
