This Position reports to:
Treasury ManagerMain Responsbility
- Act as the Trade Finance Strategy and Governance lead for key Asian markets (China, South Korea, Japan), ensuring alignment with Group Treasury and business strategies.
- Negotiate and manage guarantee, bank acceptance draft and short-term trade finance facilities and serve as the primary bank-facing representative for trade finance.
- Provide support to the lead for supply chain finance, accounts receivable finance, Bank Acceptance Draft (BAD), and discounting facility initiatives, assisting with the implementation and management of these programs as required.
- Contribute to the design of principles and guidelines for guarantees and corporate guarantees; ensure compliance with Group standards oversee governance and report on guarantees and contingent liabilities. Drive continuous improvement and efficiency for trade finance processes.
- Support M&A treasury activities and act as global escalation point for export and trade finance topics.
Knowledge, Skills and Requirments
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in trade finance, with over five years of hands-on involvement in daily operations. This includes managing banking relationships, establishing and monitoring credit limits, and working extensively with supply chain and receivables finance programs. Alternatively, candidates with a robust background in treasury or banking, coupled with a solid understanding of and interest in trade finance, are also considered suitable.
- Clear strategic vision complemented by meticulous execution, with the capacity to understand complex situations and make pragmatic, risk-conscious decisions under pressure.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (verbal and written); additional skills in Japanese or Korean are an advantage.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, influence outcomes, and manage change across global teams and financial institutions.
- Experience with SWIFT for Trade Finance and an interest in digitalization and automation are beneficial.
