We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

We are in search of an area manager tasked with the responsibility of overseeing and expanding Cambridge International qualifications in East China. Focused primarily on our school markets, the role involves ensuring robust support for our customers and delivering world-class service to schools, ministries, educational organisations, regulatory bodies, and the broader community. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our presence in these regions.

About The Role

  • Support schools, universities, and stakeholders in East China with education programs, qualifications, and resources for learners aged 3–19
  • Implement regional strategies in East China
  • Drive business growth in the region
  • Manage customer relationships effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues in regional and head offices
  • Take on additional projects and provide support as directed by senior management
  • Build recognition and influence within the ministry market in the designated location

About You

  • Degree-level education with proven track record in sales growth, revenue improvement, and business development
  • Strong background in international sales management within the educational sector
  • Fluency in Chinese and English, with deep knowledge of the East China region
  • Exceptional skills in consumer focus, relationship management, and commercial mindset, aligned with inclusivity and high performance
  • Demonstrated behaviours of autonomy, proactivity, accountability, collaboration, cultural sensitivity
  • Willingness to travel frequently during school terms
