About our group:

Seagate Wuxi Head Stack Assembly (HSA) helps component support of Hard Disk Drives (HDD). Equipment engineering team assists on all machine routine maintenance and improvement.

About the role - you will:

1.   Station Specialist for full Lifecycle Management on HSA line  
a.    Lead the installation, commissioning, and acceptance of automated production lines. Develop technical solutions and coordinate cross-departmental resources to ensure on-time project delivery.  
b.    Oversee HSA line performance, fault diagnosis, and repair of hardware/software systems. Provide 24/7 emergency technical support to ensure stable and efficient production line operations.  
c.    Continuously optimize production line performance, special for robotic arm selection and machine vision, including parameter tuning, motion control logic upgrades, and yield/quality improvement.  
2.    Technical Improvement & Innovation
a.    Analyze production bottlenecks using data acquisition and propose hardware/software optimization strategies. 
b.    Design and implement process improvements for mechanical HSA production lines, ensuring compliance with Seagate industry standards (ST1072/ST1098) and product development protocols.  
c.    Evaluate technical feasibility of new automation equipment (e.g., collaborative robots, vision inspection systems) and lead the deployment.  
3.     Standardization & Team Development
a.    Develop equipment operation manuals, maintenance protocols, and emergency troubleshooting guidelines. Establish a standardized technical documentation library.  
b.     Train frontline technicians to enhance their proficiency in automation equipment operation, programming, and robotic arm commissioning.  
4.     Cross-Functional Collaboration
a.     Collaborate with EDE and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and support new product trial-to-mass-production transitions.
5.     Mentor of HSA Station Specialist engineers.

About you:

Technical Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.  
Experience: 10+ years in automated production line development/maintenance. Experience in HDD or precision manufacturing industries is preferred. 
Technical Skills:  
Skilled in SolidWorks/AutoCAD for mechanical design, structural optimization, and fixture development.  
Deep understanding of HDD manufacturing processes (e.g., disk assembly, head assembly), cleanroom protocols, and reliability testing standards.  
Soft Skills:  
- Strong systematic problem-solving mindset, able to resolve complex issues under pressure.  
- Excellent technical documentation writing and cross-departmental communication skills.  
- Language: English proficiency (CET-4 or equivalent); ability to read technical documentation in English (experience in multinational projects is a plus).
