Then you are the Senior Engineer Procurement Engineering for Production Equipment our expanding Team in Wuxi is missing
As a Senior Engineer Procurement Engineering for Equipment, you will play a crucial role in the cost reduction to achieve an important value contribution to Infineon, improving the Business result. You will also be responsible to drive benchmark strategies and analyze the global procurement markets. Moreover, you will be in close contact with other departments in your contact system in Cegléd, in Warstein and Wuxi based on your daily activity.
In your new role you will:
- Analyze asian procurement markets and forward-looking planning in regard to supplier selection and development with focus on innovation potential and technical capability
- Initiate measures for price reduction within the product development& sustaining process and ensure standardization and process ability of materials
- Identify and implement material cost reduction potential by utilization and further development of technical levers such as: Cost Performance Matrix, Value Engineering, or Design for sourcing to make a valuable contribution to Infineon and contribute to the improvement of the business results
- Pro-active support in the technical development of the supplier portfolio and used production materials
- Ensure the continuous improvement through interdisciplinary collaboration across locations with areas like R&D, marketing, logistics and quality management
In addition to your outstanding technical expertise, you bring along an equally strong commercial understanding.
You are an intercultural savvy and you enjoy working in across-functional, global network of experts. Moreover you communicate easily and clearly and are used to carry out regular supplier visits independently.
- University scope: Material science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Technical experience, but commercial affinity/skills for concept negotiation needed
- Language: Chinese, English (add Japanese or German would be great)
- Supplier Quality basic knowledge
- Team player
