Job Description

Refers to the field of engineering dealing with the analysis and design of structures that support or resist loads. Commonly involved in the design of buildings and large nonbuilding structures, but can also be involved in the design of machinery, medical equipment, vehicles or any item where structural integrity affects the function or safety of an item. Discipline concerning force resisting and load bearing members and their connections for structures such as foundations, bridges, walls, columns, slabs, beams, trusses or similar members used singly or as part of a larger structure.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

• BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

 

Preferred Qualifications

•Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
•Over 8 years of work experience. As a project leader, successfully led the team to deliver at least one engineering project over 100,000 square meters.
•Preference will be given to those with design experience in Singapore.
•Proficient in using Safe, ETABS, SAP2000.
•Good English communication skills; fluent in spoken English.
•Strong ambition, assertive, and able to withstand work pressure.
•Well-developed interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
