HR Officer

In this role, you need to be responsible for supporting HR processes or projects as determined by the local HR Manager. These HR processes and projects may include any aspect of the employee life cycle such as onboarding, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits and termination process.

Scope and Authority

Provide first-level advice to managers and staff on all aspects of human resources management, employment law and company policies and procedures

Support the HR Manager with various capability investigations, poor performance, absence management, grievance and disciplinary

Manage and implement systems and processes to support an effective HR service, this may include some or all of the following:

Recruitment: support Talent Acquisition in terms of administration and coordination

Administer all contracts and letters related to an employee’s employment

Onboarding: prepare starter packs and manage inductions

Manage benefits administration and staff entitlements

Payroll: Co-ordinate and liaise with payroll and ensure monthly payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner

Manage the HR database, inputting and updating records

Filing and other administrative duties

Monitor, review and update all HR processes to ensure these are in line with current legislation and to ensure all work is compliant with GDPR

Support HR project implementation

Build strong working relationships at all levels to influence and engage staff

Work to strict confidentiality as commensurate with a HR role in all forms including electronically, written form and verbally

Skills and Abilities

Be confident in your decision making and have strong interpersonal and influencing skills

Excellent communication and a solutions-focused approach to problem solving

Knowledge of HR functions (pay and benefits, recruitment, training and development)

The ability to work autonomously and prioritize own workload

Strong ethics and reliability

Excellent organizational and administration skills with a good attention to detail

Can anticipate issues before they arise and deal with them accordingly

Good at managing employee relationship

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the field of Human Resource Management and / or Business Administration

Prefer 2 year experience above as HR generalist working in equipment manufacturing or agricultural industry

Strong English skills, both written and verbal

Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
