Casualty Senior Underwriter

How you will create an impact

• Review new application/renewal requests, evaluate risks and underwrite proper pricing and terms within authority.
• Prepare and present quotations to producers, work with producing channels to achieve production goals and maintain business progress report.
• Check policies and endorsements, complete underwriting filing documents in due course.
• Monitor loss ratio for responsible portfolio and implement necessary improvement measures.
• Provide technical supports and advice to producing channels including recommendation on appropriate coverage for risk submitted and assistance in resolving complex problems, provide training to channels.
• Meet with clients  and brokers to promote Casualty product, interact and negotiate with clients directly when needed.
• Provide technical advice to Claims regarding scope of coverage, interpretation of wordings, etc.
• Ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned by mangers.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor degree or above with successful proven experience in casualty underwriting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and fast pace environment.
• Attention to detail and result orientated.
• Good command of English in writing, listening and speaking.
• Commitment to becoming an insurance professional.
