Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security and Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and security of our site in Shanghai and Beijing, include the remote office, such as Qindao, Xian, Nanjing, Wuhan, Hangzhou and Suzhou warehouse. This Security and Facility Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all facility-related activities, managing a team of maintenance and security staff, and implementing effective strategies to optimize facility performance and security measures.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations, maintenance, and security of the site.
2. Plan, schedule, and supervise all maintenance and repair activities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
3. Oversee security measures and protocols, including access control, surveillance systems, alarm systems and safety compliances.
4. Monitor and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets for both maintenance and security functions.
5. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, security vulnerabilities, safety hazards, and compliance with regulations.
6. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services such as cleaning, security personnel, and maintenance.
7. Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facility assets.
8. Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards, maintaining necessary permits, licenses, and security certifications.
9. Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, disaster recovery protocols and security incident response.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional team to support facility-related projects, initiatives, and security assessments.
11. Manage a team of maintenance and security staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
12. Coordinate and monitor the activities of contract suppliers to ensure delivery schedules, quantity, and quality criteria. Work closely with cross-functional teams for office projects.
13. Handle regular safety and facilities inspections and related internal and external audits.
14. Generate regular reports and review safety, facility, and administration-related budgets, costs, and contracts; work with the team to continuously improve with innovative thinking to optimize resources and save costs.
Profile
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Security Management or a related field. Relevant certifications are necessary.
2. Proven experience as a Facility Manager or in a similar role, preferably with security management responsibilities, in a corporate or industrial setting.
3. Good English reading and writing skills, basic speaking ability.
4. Strong knowledge of facility management principles, best practices, security protocols, and local regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficient in using facility management and security regulations.
9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
