AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. Amazon Web Services has supported over 10,000 local startups and has provided cloud skills training to over 700,000 talents. Amazon’s first two utility-scale renewable projects—a solar farm and a wind farm—are also generating clean energy to the country’s grid.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Storage Solutions Architect who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for designing storage architectures that leverage AWS services to create next generation customer solutions while helping drive down costs for customers. The Storage Solutions Architect will partner closely with the Engineering, Storage Business Development and Technical field teams to drive the adoption and revenue of AWS storage services. The Storage SA will develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage and integrate their applications with AWS storage services. The Storage SA will also help drive enablement initiatives to continually develop the best technical field teams in the industry.
Key job responsibilities
• Evangelizing current and future AWS storage services and technologies
• Building and maintaining technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision makers for the successful adoption and deployment of AWS services and technologies
• Work in collaboration with the sales team to create and execute business plans to accelerate the adoption of AWS, exceed revenue goals, and drive customer satisfaction
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Knowledge of Linux for developer and end user use cases
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
