About the Role

This is a hardware engineer position in the Car audio platform hardware group of Harman and this team is responsible for the digital core, analog circuit, power, and audio amplifier for car audio platform and product, from concept to product release. During product development, you ‘re responsible for car amplifier hardware design and development across the product life cycle. This role requires cross-functional collaboration and therefore you will grasp the entire product landscape.

What You Will Do

Define concept with stakeholders according to technical specification, create block diagram, schematic for amplifier Schematic concept design, component selection, and Bill of Material generation with the best cost optimization Conduct simulation, worst case circuit analysis, design verification and implement DFMEA, lessons learn process Co-work with PM, Layout, software, mechanical, thermal, test and operation team to optimize the product design to meeting timing, cost and quality Board/System level Hardware debug and troubleshooting Research in advance for new circuit and board-level solutions and POC for new-generation products. Work with key supplier for some customized parts Technical support for global RFI/Q, and customer projects

What You Need

MSEE preferred with 3+ years of relevant industry experience Bachelor 5~7 years) Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including Analog hardware design (monolithic and discrete linear amplifiers, switching power supply, filters, etc.), digital hardware design (MCU, DSP, FPGA, SoC, memory subsystem) and audio circuits Experience with hardware system design, system integration and/or high-volume consumer electronics design preferred Experience in schematic capture, layout design and review Experience with voltage regulators, LDO, switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and PMIC Experience in signal integrity and power integrity design and simulation Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces, like SPI, I2C, UART, TDM, JTAG, etc Experience in bench-level design verification with high-speed oscilloscopes preferred. Experience with network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, phase noise analyzer Good in Verbal and written English and communication skills

What is Nice to Have

Experience in the audio industrial and familiar with audio performance test Simulation tools like Pspice, Hyperlinks and ADS is a plus Strong capability of reading and studying component technical documentation, including but not limited to datasheet, reference manual, application note, errata and etc
