Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an [Sr. CMF Engineer] located in [Zhuhai].

This position will be the bridge between customers and Flex Mechanical for the components’ CMF (color/material and finishing) development, he needs to translate customers’ requirements in house, and feedback the CMF issues/ improvements / suggestions to customers.

What a typical day looks like :

Review customer CMF documents with Flex cross functions including, PM, engineering, QA, manufacturing, and tooling, so that all team members can fully understand customer requirements. Highlight the customer CMF document issues to PM, so that these issues can be communicated with customer in time. Collect, summarize, and analyze the potential risks of CMF according to customer criteria, and highlight them to team members. Involve in the process trial of CMF, check, and document the CMF results according to customer criteria. Work with manufacture engineer and CQE for the CMF issues improvements. Work with suppliers for the CMF improvements. Communicate the CMF improvements with customer. Review and confirm the samples of CMF before them delivered to customer. Review, communicate and publish the CMF development status to team members regularly. Work with cross functions, customer, and supplier to solve the color, material & finishing issues in time. Support production on the continuous improvements for cost down.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team :

Industrial Design degree or BS in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials, or equivalent). At least five years relevant working experience Full understand the color, gloss measurement and specification, and can use the gloss meter, colorimeter. Have overall knowledges of CMF which relate to painting, printing, plating, NCVM, IMD and tooling texture. English communication by reading and writing is required, oral communication is plus.
