We are currently recruiting for Supplier Relationship & Optimization Manager to join our STC Operations team. You will be joining a professional and international team with extensive knowledge of the industry. Working closely with our customers and vendors, you will provide customers with excellent service. Your expertise ensures that we will continue to set the industry benchmark for seamless and efficient operations.
Stolt Tank Containers (STC) is a leading provider of door-to-door transportation services for bulk- liquid chemicals and food-grade products. With a fleet of more than 45,000 tank containers, STC is the only operator with its own worldwide network of 22 owned and joint venture depots.

What you will be doing
As Supplier Relationship & Optimization Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the supplier relationships and optimizing processes within the designated region. This role contributes to the objectives of enhancing supplier partnerships, driving operational efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction within the designated region at STC.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management - Support in maintaining regular communication with suppliers to discuss ongoing projects, resolve issues, and provide feedback. Assist in facilitating supplier meetings, Teams calls, and site visits as needed. Primary point of contact for small to medium sized escalations. Performance management - Assist in monitoring and evaluating supplier performance against KPIs such as delivery timeliness, quality standards, and responsiveness. Deliver timely and constructive feedback to suppliers in relation to their performance. Communicate performance results and measures taken to internal stakeholders. Supply Chain Efficiency & Optimization - Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and enhanced efficiency within the supply chain. Work closely with internal teams to explore alternative routing options and research potential new suppliers. Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to resolve any issues with blocked supplier invoices, tracking disputes and assisting in their resolution process. Identify trends in invoice discrepancies and assist in optimizing supplier invoicing procedures. Manage STC's allocation and available capacity of suppliers according to agreements, ensuring optimal utilization of agreed-upon suppliers. Develop the weekly inland planning for regions with multiple suppliers, ensuring thorough consideration of various factors such as allocation, depot availability, and customer requirements. Sustainability - Explore methods for enhancing sustainability in line with STC’s sustainability goals, such as employing multimodal alternatives and inland waterways instead of exclusively relying on truck transportation. Implement route optimization by identifying superior transport routes (reducing the distance travelled) and any other means to reduce STC’s carbon footprint. Onboarding – Responsible for the process of integrating suppliers into the business, providing training to suppliers to comprehend customer specifics, ensuring successful onboarding, adoption, and implantation of the new supplier. Responsible for updating internal stakeholders on supplier services on a regular basis, as well as ensuring suppliers are using the relevant digital tools to drive internal efficiency. Compliance & Safety - Support in identifying root causes and suggesting corrective and preventive actions for minor events. Support the SROM and SHEQ compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner. Serve as a liaison for internal stakeholders for minor supplier related events and incidents that need to be addressed to suppliers (communication failures, quality concerns, . and quality concerns. Participate in Cross-functional Collaboration – Advocate for suppliers internally and aligning with internal teams to collaborate on initiatives improving supplier/customer satisfaction and supply chain efficiency. Maintain routine updates to our internal teams and bring clarity on expectations on supplier services. Initiate regular training to operations and commercial staff to create awareness of all multimodal routes and schedules. Project Management - Assist in managing projects Continuous Learning- Engage in ongoing learning and development activities to deepen your understanding of our services, customer needs, and best practices in customer success.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of experience working in a logistics/shipping company or other relevant field Must have experience working in an international environment Communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) Effective coaching and developing skills Organized and able to set goals and priorities Delegation Analytical skills Pro-active and self-starting Project Management skills English languageWhat we offer
