Role Specific Paragraph

Sonos is currently seeking a Contract Manufacturing Manager that is responsible for the overall operational relationship and end-to-end performance management of our strategic Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners. You will be responsible for creating and executing strategies that enables Sonos' supply chain to adapt and scale to accommodate business growth. You will lead cross-functional efforts such as negotiating commercial agreements, costs and optimizing the collaboration between the teams and CMs ensuring quality, delivery, costs, lead-times and responsiveness objectives are met. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal and other cross-functional teams to create an efficient and robust supply chain.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead global sourcing strategies, ensuring cross-functional alignment, establishing global scalability

  • Create advanced analytics and data-driven approaches to improve supply chain performance

  • Lead complex engagements on critical partnerships, partnering with Sonos' senior leadership

  • Negotiate MVA, NRE and CaPEx to ensure best-in-class cost for our products

  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements to meet both technical, operational and commercial requirements

  • Actively look for cost optimization opportunities and lead cross-functional efforts to achieve it

  • Influence CM's manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in beneficial and sustainable ways

  • Successfully close complex negotiations including commercial terms, statements of work, capacity supply and pricing

  • Implement CM performance controls to ensure operational excellence

  • Target and deliver aggressive supply capacity assurances and lead-time reduction initiatives

  • Understand the technical aspects of production equipment to identify opportunities for cost, space, and process optimization

  • Build and own overall project budgets and generate capitalization plan based on project timeline focusing on TCO of the categories managed

  • Communicate overall equipment status to the management team including schedules, risks and mitigation actions and respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and architecture

  • Drive change through excellent verbal and written communication with data driven inputs

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent), advanced degree or MBA is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Contract Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain Material Management, Procurement, and or Commodity Management

  • Proven track record in supplier management and/or commodity management

  • Strong negotiator

  • Familiarity with enterprise software management systems such as ERP, PLM etc.

  • Ability to travel Internationally

  • At least 5+ years experience in high tech or similar industry

  • Outstanding skills and proven track record of delivering results through collaboration with other functions including Engineering, Finance, Legal and other Supply Chain functions to ensure that cross-functional objectives are achieved

  • Strong supplier project management experience

  • MBA preferred
