Avenues Shenzhen opened in Fall 2019. It serves nearly 600 students in all grades from toddler through 12th, and will continue to grow substantially in enrollment in coming years. Suffused with light, surrounded by greenery and seamlessly integrating technology, the campus is an urban oasis where architecture inspires learning and curiosity. The curriculum features language immersion, learning through play and interdisciplinary study in a state-of-the-art facility.

About the Role

As a Teaching Fellow at Avenues Shenzhen you will:

Support lead and associate teachers with academic activities both inside and outside the classroom Support all students’ maturation and development, targeting support to address individual needs  Step in and back up any teaching activities when needed  Deeply connect with students, colleagues and parents to uphold a culture of welcome, safety and respect  Invoke a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to value being at school and feel part of a rigorous and joyful learning community  Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families  Participate actively in ongoing, intensive professional learning

About You

Student teaching or equivalent experience with children ages 2-10  Profound commitment to ensuring and nurturing children's wellbeing  Highly effective collaborator, eager to listen deeply, contribute to a team and achieve goals together  Dedication to learning and developing the craft of teaching  Very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace constant change, growth and learning Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in education or related field is ideal Native Chinese speaker with professional fluency in English
