Job Description:

The Field Applications Engineer supports the development of new products and applications, the promotion of existing products, and the investigation of new applications for existing products through an understanding of the customer base and direct communication between the customer, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments. As the customer liaison, you will also investigate new applications for exiting product, as well as drive new product solutions to help solve our customers’ problems. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provide routine technical support to UPW supply system; dispense pump products and back up other AMH product if needed.  

  • Technical lead for product installation, evaluation, or qualification projects at customer locations in support of sales opportunities. 

  • Introduce new products internally, partners and at key customers, including providing detailed training and over site of evaluations. 

  • Supports the Account Management team in the execution of BU product strategy in the field for targeted territories and markets to capture new or maintain existing business. 

  • Lead and work on applications related projects that demonstrate or improve product capabilities, both in-house and with industry partners. 

  • Assist resolution of major customer issues, including developing action plans and guiding the actions of R&D and field engineers. 

  • Create technical papers, presentations and applications notes to promote products in industry conferences publications, and technical forums. 

  • Maintains a high level of application understanding (including competition, application development and products) to give recommendations on current product issues, future product trends and application demands. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

 

  • Strong knowledge of Polymer material, fluid handling, Pressure/Flow, Chemical packaging and processing related experience. Having fab facility, BCDS and engineering company and relates experience are preferred. 

  • Able to work with limited supervision and complete assignments without established procedures. 

  • Able to work on problems that are complex in nature, where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. 

  • Knowledge and experience in safe working practices for both laboratory and wafer manufacturing environments. 

  • Good team skills in both leadership and worker roles. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and curiosity. 

  • Excellent English skills with both oral and written.  Able to communicate effectively through conversation, oral presentations, and written reports. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

  • Master or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Chemical or highly related field. 

  • Minimum of five years relate of Semiconductor experience; or Chemical supply and engineering company experience to perform the duties of the job. 

  • Capable traveling with an independent work capability. 

  • Excellent communication planning, organizational and leadership skills. 

  • Flexibility to adapt to work environment, work force, and customers’ needs. 

  • Computer literacy with Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook 

Working Environment: 

 

  • Laboratory, manufacturing, and office environments, including work with potentially hazardous chemicals and equipment. 

  • Domestic and international travel is required. 

 

 

Physical Demands: 

 

  • Physical effort normally found in lab, manufacturing, and office environments.
