Associate Consultant

ERM China is looking to add an Associate Consultant to join our Liability Portfolio Management & Remediation team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct Phase I &II ESA (both desktop and fieldwork), remedial action design (support role) and implementation, site audits, general EHS consulting services, etc.
Take lead in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, figures and other relevant data using GIS, conceptual/groundwater modeling software, and prepare technical reports.
Focus on team project delivery, taking directions primarily from Project Managers and team Partner.
Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
Assist in ensuring compliance with all national and local regulations and technical guidelines with respect to project implementation and advisory services.
Communicate with project team members, vendors/subcontractors, regulators, clients, and coordinate field activities with relevant parties (i.e., site representatives).
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors or Masters (preferred) in geology, hydrogeology, environmental sciences or engineering, or related discipline.
1 - 4 years of experience, including willingness/interest in field assignments , GIS, modeling software, and database management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
Ability to handle multiple project assignments at once and maintain flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
Strong Chinese/English writing and speaking ability is a must.
