Job Title: Business Development Manager at Universal Robots

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represents the UR Brand, Vision, and Values consistently
  • Manages commercial relationships with active and potential UR+ partners
  • Develops and implements local Ecosystem strategy in China with the China Regional President
  • Establishes and maintains a portfolio of partners to meet regional and global objectives
  • Collaborates with global segment managers and product management team to identify and recommend UR+ partners and products
  • Supports the global UR+ team by sharing best practices and results from local markets
  • Establishes positive relationships with new UR+ partners
  • Assists UR+ partners with commercial strategies for success in the UR ecosystem

Key Duties / Deliverables:

  • Directly impacts China sales team to achieve order intake targets
  • Conducts regular business reviews and annual planning with Strategic UR+ partners
  • Qualifies new UR+ partner products and partners, from concept to market launch
  • Coordinates UR+ engineering resources locally and globally
  • Supports UR+ partners in engaging with UR marketing and maximizing market presence

Success Criteria:

  • Drives Order Intake through strategic UR+ partners
  • Increases lead generation from UR+ showroom and partners
  • Conducts regular business reviews with key UR+ Partners

Additional Information:

  • Travel approximately 70 days per year, locally and internationally
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal form
  • Experience in automation, robot programming, and technical training
  • Required languages: English and Mandarin; Additional languages a plus

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field
  • MBA or commercial education preferred
  • Demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning

Experience:

  • 5-10 years' experience in factory automation, product development, or manufacturing engineering
  • Direct experience in industrial sales, distribution/channel experience a plus
  • Proven ability to manage diverse commercial relationships
  • Strong understanding of distribution business and collaboration with various stakeholders
